You’ll be rooting for the Big Bad Wolf in this darker version of the classic fairly tale, Little Red Riding Hood by Cayetano Gaming. Mostly because Little Red is nowhere to be found.We were impressed by the very pretty dark atmospheric theme of Little Red Riding hood mobile slot, with that dark wolf seeming to come out of the screen with it’s intense stare and all set in an old fashioned cottage that brings the dark Germanic roots together, you can almost re-imagine this story with the wolf finally getting his two course meal.
It’s a shame they couldn’t have done something a little more fun with the sounds, using generic ‘catch-all’ machine rings. Still as Cayetano is more use to building land-based casino slot machines you can tell this slot is built for the video slot player who has moved from their favourite brick and mortar casino to online to mobile slot. The sounds are but one example.
This Little Red Riding Hood Should Have Stayed at the Casino
Another is the fact that this video slot is very reliant on those stacked big bad wolf wilds that, thank-fully, litter your screen. I say thank-fully, as you’ll see very little action elsewhere, which is a shame as this game is certainly on the lower end of the variance scale, so as an online mobile slot players we expect to be entertained with a bigger song and dance numbers if this slot is not going to give us the thrill of a massive win. Still, we’ve had a couple of ‘BIG WINS’ come across our screens when those wolves line up just right, though the biggest we’ve hit is 30x our bet.
The third and final clue that the makers of this slot are use to only needing the thrills of the casino lights to entertain us is the fact that the Little Red Riding Hood scatters are harder to find than grandma’s teeth. Either the wolf ate her along the way or she’s a huge tease, we can’t decide which. When she finally makes it to the cottage, she does come with free spins and an increasing multiplier, which can help the wallet, but mostly leaves you wishing she’d come round and visit more often to break a fairly average game.
This is definitely one for mobile slot players who are familiar with Cayetano land based slot game, enjoy the simplicity of the stacked wilds and know how to budget their bank roll. Personally, though the graphics are not half as good, we think Wolf Run by IGT has some far bigger chances of wins and comes with plenty of stacked wilds of it’s own.

Stacked Wild: The big bad wolf is the wild symbol and comes stacked throughout the reels. No multiplier, but you better get use to that glowing stare as it will be following you around after almost every other spin.
Free Spins: Little Red Riding Hood is the scatter symbol and she'll likely to spend most of her time lost in the woods, because she seldom seemed to arrive at our cottage. When 3 of her finally show up, she at least comes with some potentially good wins, with anything between 15 to 22 free spins.
Everytime an axe shows up on the screen you get an increasing multiplier (which says infinite, but the largest we ever got was 9x) that does hold the potential for some larger wins. Potential being the word here, because we mostly walked away with about 30x our bet. Even still, we could forgive her this if she showed up more often to entertain us. We have heard of players getting decent 100x their bet win on this feature, but we've not come across it.
Instant Win: If the basket of wine, fruit and nuts that little red is carrying shows up anywhere on the screen you can win anything between 5x to 15x your bet. Of course, pretty sure that basket was also left in the woods somewhere by Little Red as it rarely shows up for not particularly impressive wins.
Closing thoughts
Lots of action, this slot doesn't have. You'll have to be a fan of how land-base slots work to truly enjoy the Little Red Riding Hood mobile slot experience and be happy if you go through 200 to 300 spins without ever seeing a free spin or bonus feature. If you manage to catch Little Red, at least you have the hope for a decent multiplier for your patience.
