Enjoyed a couple days here in the parking lot. Easy to get the 24 hr pass to display in your window. Returned the next day and got another pass. Food in the buffet was pretty good. Casino seemed very clean and modern. There are trains near the RV parking area, but only once or twice per night. Very friendly staff in the casino. Shuttle was always available to take us back and forth from the parking area. Will gladly use this parking area and casino again when in the area.

Very Disappointing Experience with Gun Lake Personnel's Lack of Knowledge

I called the Gun Lake Casino and spoke to a Security Person a week before we were going there with our Motor Home and asked about overnight RV Parking. He said it was allowed and explained to me where we should park. While our RV was being serviced in Grand Rapids, we drove our Jeep to the Casino and verified with the Security Person at the door where we should park our Motor Home for staying overnight. She went outside with us and pointed to the area for RV Parking. Two days later, when we arrived with our Motor Home, we parked in the area where the two different Security Personal had told us to park for the night. Shortly after parking there a Security Person came to our door and told us we needed to park in a lot by a building across the street for overnight parking. After following him and pulling into the lot he stopped and said he was just informed by his boss that they do not allow any overnight RV Parking. After quite a discussion about the situation and being told we could not park overnight, we left. While on the way home, I called the Security Supervisor, who was quite rude. He said they have a policy for no overnight RV Parking and there was no changing his mind. Evidently this was never told to the Security Personal that deal with the public since we dealt with 3 who were not aware of this policy. This was a Thursday and the regular parking lot wasn't even 25% full. Needless to say, we do not plan to patronize the Gun Lake Casino again.

BRADLEY, MI -- The Gun Lake Tribe, which operates the Gun Lake Casino, announced it will pay more than $8.2 million in spring revenue-sharing payments to the state of Michigan, local entities and its economic development arm.
Under the terms of a tribal-state gaming compact, the tribe shares a percentage of its electronic gaming revenue with the state and local governments twice each year.
The state received $4,603,777 in the most recent revenue-sharing payment, and the local revenue-sharing board received $2,301,883, according to a news release from the tribe. GLIMI, a tribally owned, non-gaming economic development entity, received $1,381,130.
Local communities benefiting from the revenue-sharing are Wayland Township, Allegan County, the Allegan Area Educational Service Agency, the city of Wayland, Dorr Township, Hopkins Township, Leighton Township, Martin Township, Wayland Union Schools and Yankee Springs Township.
The figures were calculated from electronic gaming revenues reported from Oct. 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019.
“We are pleased to continue sharing revenue with the local community,” Bob Peters, chairman of the Gun Lake Tribe, said in a statement. “The compact payments fund important local services, and k-12 public education programs, that greatly enhance the quality of life in our area.”
Since the opening of the casino in 2011, the tribe has shared $126,655,194 with state and local governments over 17 semi-annual distributions, according to the statement.

Payments from the tribe to state and local governments continue as long as the tribe has exclusive gaming rights within its competitive market area, which includes the cities of Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo and Lansing, as well as the counties of Kent, Kalamazoo and Ingham, among others.
