Each regional division and group of the Nuts Poker League is strongly represented with the Dumfries and Galloway section having 17 players playing! There may not even be 17 people in Dumfries and Galloway who have an internet connection so this indicates the strength of poker in many local areas. If you wish to play anonymously and do not wish to have your name appearing on the league tables please let us know; however please remember that if your name does not appear, you will not be eligible to qualify for any regional or national events as we will be unable to confirm your identity.

History

The Nuts Poker League (NPL) is a premiere poker league based in UK. It is one of the most popular pub poker league and organises its tournaments at various small & large pubs across Britain.

Tournament Format

No-Limit Texas Holdem Poker is played in all the NPL tournaments, where a player can bet up to all of his chips at any time in the game, when it is his turn to bet.

Highlights

The NPL was officially awarded the title of the best poker league at the British Poker Awards, 2011. Still, joining the Nuts Poker League is simple. All you need to do is to turn up at any venue and inform the Tournament Director or Pub Owner that you wish to play. He will take down your details and you will be issued a unique membership number that is used every time you play (even in diverse venues).
